YLG Aesthetics

My new website at YLG Aesthetics is now live

Hello everyone,

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very warm welcome and to tell you how exited I am to share with you the release of my brand new website, and my first ever blog post! I do hope you like it.

My name is Yolande Golding of YLG Aesthetics and this blog will become a regular feature, helping to keep you updated on the latest news and advice from myself and the aesthetics industry.

Make sure you check back here frequently to see what’s new and what I have been getting up to.

I initially began to think about the creation of a website early in January 2020, back then when all the world was “Normal” Do you remember those carefree times? We were jetting off to Spain, popping up the pub with friends, kissing people hello willy nilly. We didn’t realise how good we had it did we?

However, tragically by March the Covid-19 pandemic completely engulfed our everyday lives. There was no escape from the media coverage either. Things became seriously scary. We needed to avoid each other for our own good. I was completely thrown off balance by Lockdown and the enforced inertia that followed. My routine of working, socialising with friends and colleagues, and holidays abroad with the family, in fact many of the things that gave my life discipline, structure and joy, came to a complete stand still. I am sure yours did too.

At first my days became filled with sunbathing, having the odd aperitif or two and binging on Netflix until the early hours, whilst chomping on biscuits. Groundhog day became a reality as each day rolled into the next. And yet the consequence of having a break from my normal life was that it gave me time to think and my perspective changed as the pace slowed down. I began to enjoy simple pass times like gardening, playing the piano and cooking recipes which my partner and I enjoyed eating. I gained the mandatory “Magnificent Covid 7 Pounds” by being so inactive, so I decided like a lot of people, to exercise from home with Joe Wicks. I also decided to “Bin the Gin” (metaphorically of course-I prefer Bacardi) for fear that I may have to call my website “Shamu Aesthetics”. I began to do quite a bit of online study and research, I sorted through my sea of paperwork going back two decades which was under my bed, and made a vow not to waste any more time lazing around. I am back, fired up, full of knowledge, well organised, on my starting blocks and ready to go again.

Who in their wildest dreams would have predicted the repercussions of the pandemic would be so far reaching, or that it’s effects would be lasting for so long and felt by so many. From now on I won’t be taking my liberty for granted. After such a weird year I look back with slight disbelief and 2020 vision now.
