Valentines Day

Fall In Love With Yourself This Valentines Day

During this enforced period of lockdown we are all becoming conscious of the way we look, and for some it is even affecting our wellbeing.

The increase in popularity of the Zoom call, once hailed as the alternative to face to face meetings, can now fill a person with dread. For some reason the camera in the standard lap top or IPhone appears to distort the features of the face, making the nose and teeth appear larger (Or is that just me?) Also, most people are not accustomed to looking at their appearance for prolonged periods of time, talking, laughing or just the resting face. People have started to feel that there unflattering appearance is inhibiting them during a Zoom call. That unfavourable little thumbnail picture in the corner can begin to haunt you as you think of ways to improve your Zoom face.

As yet there aren’t any filters available for Zoom that I am aware of, and balancing the screen in a higher position to avoid looking down and having a double chin, may not be a good idea for everyone. However there are other practical solutions available.

At this time of year our skin can become dull and sluggish so a great way to perk up the complexion and give yourself a much needed boost of self-esteem would be to treat yourself to some medical skin care products and start a new skin care regime to give your skin the bounce back. Patients will be thrilled to see results in as little as 24 hours with a fantastic product by Obagi called ELASTIderm Facial Serum, it certainly deserves a place amongst your arsenal of products. The ELASTIderm Facial Serum includes Retinols and a Sunscreen that rejuvenate the skin and guard it from ageing too quickly. It is Obagi’s most Clinically Studied Medical Product for the last ten years. The elastin in the skin must undergo a specific process of transformation in order to be functional. Obagi have studied elastic fibre quality and orientation to understand what it takes to impact skin resiliency and the designed an advanced technology to address all three stages of elastin development and assembly to produce real results in the skin.

87% of patients found that skin laxity and firmness had improved within 12 weeks of use and it can also be used on the neck and décolletage too. The product is easy to apply to clean skin and absorbs beautifully to give a lovely glow for the day. As it is a medical product with many hours of research in development it retails at £150, which should last for 3 months, a small price to pay for great skin and improved confidence. So go ahead and fall in love with yourself this Valentines day, after all the best love of all is self-love and care.
